On Monday 27th March 2023, The Healthy Ageing Research Group (HARG) in the School of Health and Exercise Science at the University of Lincoln, in collaboration with the Health Advancement Research Team (HART) in the School of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Lincoln, delivered ‘The Ageing and Physical Activity’ (TAPA) Showcase conference to 40 guests.
Guests included stakeholders from across Lincolnshire: older citizens, physical activity providers and organisations, physical activity instructors/ personal trainers, health and care professionals, care homes, and academics.

The Showcase consisted of five key sessions exploring:
- University of Lincoln research findings on physical activity and ageing
- Examples of partner’s innovative physical activity and age-friendly practices across Lincolnshire
- Discussion on policy and projects across Lincolnshire
- Discussion on the future role of the TAPA network
- Discussion panel with an open Q&A
We would like to thank everyone who was involved in the organisation of the TAPA network which was established in August 2022.
