RESEARCH BRIEFING Monday 14th December: Self-funded care for older people

RESEARCH BRIEFING:

Ethical issues in self-funded care for older people in Lincolnshire

Monday 14th December at 2.30-4.30 on MS Teams

You are invited to attend an online event at which we will present an overview of this Wellcome Trust-funded research and key findings, with an emphasis on the experience of self-funded care in Lincolnshire. There will be opportunities to hear from both academic and lay co-researchers and a chance for participants to ask questions and reflect on the conclusions of this important research.

Over the last three and a half years across three different English counties, research teams including older co-researchers, have listened to the experiences of older people who pay for their own care; their spouses and unpaid carers; and a range of commissioners, care providers and practitioners.  This interview material has provided a ‘360 degree’ perspective on the experiences of self-funders both locally and nationally.

If you wish to attend this event, please email pbeedell@lincoln.ac.uk.

Nearer the date we will send you programme details and joining instructions. Please feel free to share this invitation with your students and colleagues and do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries. We very much hope that you can join us for this event.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Dr. Phoebe Beedell, (Research Fellow) and Dr. Mo Ray, (Research Lead, Lincoln)
